It's the most wonderful time of the yeeeaaarrr!!!
I think I have said this many times before, but blogging has brought be some amazing opportunities. I am really grateful for any opportunities I get and none more so than receiving an invite from one of my favourite places in Yorkshire for the ultimate indulgence.
I well and truly found my happy place!
Anyone who knows me well, knows that I adore Betty's of Harrogate. I have been one or two times, including this time with my mama and sister. If I could make it a part of my Sunday ritual I would absolutely, but sadly I do not have that bank budget just yet (someday...) When I received the most gorgeous personal invite to enjoy a festive afternoon at Betty's, I could not say no. Taking an early finish at work, I hopped on a quick train with my gorgeous gal and fellow blog squad member Lucinda off up North to the spa town of Harrogate.
We started of by enjoying the Lady Betty Afternoon Tea in the Imperial Room. It is an exquisite dining experience, combining the favourites of Britain along with the excellent Lady Betty Afternoon Tea Blend that is only available when you book this afternoon tea experience.
Personally loving every bit of the selections (and the two major debates that encompassed our table: milk in tea before or after the hot water and which way do you put jam and cream on your scone) I am absolutely booking this for a special occasion or treat (you can book your table here on the website).
We were then introduced to the new Christmas range a Betty's and boy are you in for a treat! My favourite being the champagne Christmas pudding, which will be taking centre stage on my Christmas table this year. You can view the entire range of Betty's Christmas range here on the website, order early to avoid disappointment.
Next we were shown three beautifully decorate tables, the ideal Christmas themes for your home this year. Complete with the appropriate desserts, trimmings and glassware; which theme best suits your style?
How about Christmas Spice; inspired by the scents and smells of Christmas baking and delights. The theme is all about elegant gold tones, classic bone china and all pulled together with the delicious smells of pine, citrus and spice.
How about Continental Elegance: with a beautiful Aspen lodge taking centre stage. Going back to the company's Swiss heritage, this theme boast natural trimmings with delicate biscuit delights. Complete with craft crackers to the delight of the whole family, this design is a winner for all.
Finally, Winter Snow. Inspired by the feeling of waking up to a frosted winter blanket on Christmas morning. The table adorned with crisp white linen, shimmering crockery and festive jingle bells. With the added extras of bay leaves and ivy, this table is is nowhere near cold and frost but warm and delightful.
Can you tell which table was my favourite? Oh course Lucinda and I took the chance to act out our chosen covers for Country and Life magazine.
We all left with Christmas smiles on our faces, a cheeky present in our hands and inspiration for our festive theme homes that we are going to create in a few weeks time.
Thank you again to Betty's of Harrogate for the invite to your gorgeous event.
