There is no party like a Cuban party, and this little blogger was lucky enough to be invited to Leeds newest place to open; where the rum was perfection and the food is to dye for!!
If you have read my blog before you will have read about mine and Amie's late night dinner at Revolucion De Cuba in Manchester, where we had lots and lots of tapas and way too many cocktails. Well, you could imagine my excitement when whilst walking into town, I saw them setting one up in Leeds. At the bottom of Call Lane, it's in the perfect place to start for food, and simply stay there for cocktails long into the night.
I came as part of a bloggers and press night. We were split into three groups, each rotating around three different things that the place had to offers. First my group took part in the testing out the tapas menu (such a hard job, but someone has to do it!). Well, what a treat....
I think my favorite had to be the honey roasted vegetables and the quesadillas. Utterly delicious and the perfect amount for picking and sharing. I would say about 3 dishes each is the perfect amount.
Next, it was time for some rum tasting- again, another hard job. Our taster session was presented to us by the company's rum trainer (I am so sorry I forgot your name- you fed me too much rum!!). He is 21 years old and knows everything there is to know about rum- an impressive feat. Whilst I tried to soak in the history and become educated in the world of rum- I had one too many sips of the delicious drink. Hey, I am only testing everything for you readers!
The final activity and my favorite one at that was the mojito cocktail making class. We all took it in turns to have a go at making this fabulous drink. I had a go at making a raspberry mojito- one of my favorites under the classic option of course.
Revolucion De Cuba was such a fun place to hang out at and I cannot wait to visit here again. Plus I got to spend an evening hanging out with my gorgeous editor Laura Bartlett at House of Coco Magazine and a lovely dear friend Jordan, who I have met at previous blogging events.
Thank you to Revolucion De Cuba for a lovely evening!
