When Art Meets Style*

I sadly missed out on Fashion Week this Autumn (next year! Or at least two years) so I was happy that Harvey Nichols was hosting a style presentation in Leeds so I could still get my dose of fashion ready for the new season....

As part of the Harvey Nichols The Art of Style Event, the Leeds store hosted at fashion panel, which was lead by Jennifer Lee O'Brien (journalist from The City Talking) and speakers included Ellie Andrews (art curator and co- owner of The Gallery at Munro House) and none other than Aldene Johnson; personal stylist to Florence Welch. Cue a major fan girl moment when I found that out...

The discussion was about art and fashion; the relationship they have with each other and how one influences the other. It was great listening to them, I haven't had discussions like this since I was at university where we really went into detail about different designers, iconic looks and process behind style. Though it did bring up flashbacks of the nightmare that is known as your dissertation!

Whilst questions were being asked, models floated in and out wearing latest items from designer collections that truly reflect Art and style together. Thanks to the lovely photographer at the event, I didn't need to be snappy happy and I was able to provide you with some great shots of the gorgeous outfits.

Erdem Madda roll neck wool blend gown- a gorgeous winter look!!

Roksanda Valhalla neon pink gathered satin twill gown; a gorgeous gown!! Just beautiful and such craftsmanship!!

Just look at this jacket!! Valentino multi flowered coat- I want it so badly!!

My favourite outfit of the evening, Sandro lurex rollneck, Maje white blouse and an Alexander McQueen skirt. Totally to die for!

Aldene was a total babe and I had a minor fan girl moment with her. I even managed to ask for a cheeky picture where for Instagram, which you can see down bellow....
