Anyone up for a cocktail or two?
The nights are getting colder and rather than turning into too much of a hermit; I felt it was time to embrace these Autumn nights and the magic it brings. Lucky for me, Carluccio's invited me to a relaunch of their gorgeous restaurant on Greek Street.
For those who don't know the Leeds area, Greek Street is right in the middle of the business sector on the left and the shopping bit on the right. There are some great places along it, so Carluccio's is in great company.
The restaurant has had a new bar area put in, meaning that not only can you come here for some gorgeous Italian food, but there is a lovely seating area where you can chill and relax with a cocktail or two. Or three. I am not sure what number of cocktails Becca and I got to- we were told they were unlimited; which is sometimes unheard of in the blogging world. And let me tell you about these cocktails...
This is a Gin Giardino: Gin, elderflower, Prosecco and fresh apple juice. Served with a slice of cucumber. Refreshing and sweet, we had two. Or three. Again we lost count, they were too delicious!!
And oh course, an Espresso Martini: made using Italian hazelnut liqueur, Frangelico and smooth Finlandia Vodka. The perfect after work cocktail. I love it so much!
Caught you Becca! How gorgeous is she?!
We also try some gorgeous nibbles (just saying, prawns wrapped in Italian ham= AMAZING!!!) The second picture surprisingly was not calamari, but mushrooms covered in breadcrumbs! And as the mushroom hater, I actually like it, well done Carluccio's!!
Whilst chilling and relaxing, we may have spotted some local celebrities....
Now I don't watch Emmerdale so I have no idea who these people are. Becca however does watch it and I am so happy that I got to see Becca, who is normally the coolest chic I know, FAN GIRL. Best moment ever, which prompted this photo from me.....
I have no shame at all.
Thank you again to Carluccio's, the restaurant is amazing and I cannot wait to visit here again!
