La Pedrera | Barcelona

Another touristy post on the blog and yet another very photo heavy post. You have been warned (cuppa's at the ready!!)

After having a chilled day and a super heavy touristy day prior, we decided to keep on going with our love for Gaudi. Having already been to La Sagrada Familia, we decided to hit another famous place of Gaudi's- La Pedrera.

La Pedrera or rather Casa Mila as it's official name, is one of the famous apartment's that Gaudi worked on under the commission of Pere MilĂ  i Camps and his wife Roser Segimon i Artells who wanted the most stylish apartment complex on the very fashionable Passeig de Gracia. The results? A beautiful building that is truly inspired by nature. Very marmite, the people at the time either loved it or hated it (La Pedrera is translated as The Quarry- an insult at the time) Now it is a world heritage site and a great place to explore. First let's start in the courtyard....

Then there is the roof, which is just breathtaking...

Then there is a tour of an apartment from the 1920s, when La Pedrera was built...

It's such a lovely place. Tickets are roughly €20,00 each, but come with the entire tour and a tree audio guide (get the guide, her voice is so soothing). Let me know what you think of the attraction, I was truly inspired by the art and the nature influence.

After La Pedrera we headed out for food (see this post here for what we ate). I am so enjoying Barcelona right now and I cannot wait to show you more!!
