Brunch At Flax & Kale | Barcelona

If you are a long time reader o the blog you will know that brunch is my favorite meal of the day. When trying to find great and less touristy places to visit, I took advice from a well know blogger Estee (Essie Button) and decided to hit up this little place for some delicious and Instagram-able food…..

Flax & Kale is located on Carrer dels Trallers, which was literally a five minute walk from our hotel. It is a vegetarian eatery (meat lovers look away!) so don’t be expecting any bacon on the side of your eggs! The food and the cold press juices are designed to help and nurture your body, so are pack full of goodness that your tummy will thank you for later!

My favorite juice was the Coco Masalachai, which if I am honest I only purchased for the elephant on the front of the bottle (too cute!!) It taste a bit like a sweeten milk (from the vanilla and the cinnamon) like a latte without the coffee.

I oh course went for my usual avocado on toast, L decided to try out the granola and yoghurt to see what it was all about. The food does taste pretty amazing, the yoghurt was incredibly smooth and creamy.

The one thing I would say, is the coffee is not that great. I didn’t expect it to be amazing as it is not a joint that specialises in it, but poor L had to go without caffeine because his curdled!! The service as well was not that great, a little slow and the waiter forgot some of our food and tried to charge us for it. I would certainly come back again for the food as it tastes as good as it looks, but it is not somewhere I would be desperately rushing back to. I would certainly say it is a place I would urge everyone to go visit and try the food!
