Anyone who has been a student knows the taste of Tequila (£1.00 shots on a Thursday night out was always a winner) and anyone who has read one of my previous posts knows it's one of my favourite tipples. Lucky for me, I was invited to celebrate World Tequila Day with my good friend Becca and a gorgeous Mexican restaurant called Cielo Blanco...
Cielo Blanco is considered to be Leeds first Mexican restaurant, offering street food inspired by travels to the South American country. It's message is true to the country's philosophy on food; offering a quick bite to eat for those on the go or sharing platters and nibbles for a family feast.
There are non alcoholic drinks available but their specialty likes within their knowledge of Tequila and what works to enhance the flavours.
Becca and I went with raspberry and pineapple (with a second pitcher having the zingy hint of pink grapefruit. We were taste testing...) with the added sweetness of sugar around the rim rather than salt. With a pitcher costing £20.00 it's the perfect drink to share with friends, or to yourself depending on how much you would like to celebrate. I am sure Mexican's would not disapprove!
The best thing about Cielo Blanco, is that you can eat both inside and outside- perfect for summer. Their terrace is both covered and uncovered and in the perfect location for people watching. I thought I knew Trinity Leeds inside and out, but this was brand new to me. I am so glad I found it though, I have been begging my boyfriend to go there with me for a meal.
We were also very lucky to try a few dishes from their new menu; including some tacos, quesadillas and pork chops. I am not a huge fan of pork but you have to order it if you go, its gorgeous, yummy and utter perfection!
Follow Cielo Blanco here on their Twitter page for more information on their latest offers and menu information.
Have you been to Cielo Blanco? What did you think of the food and drink?
